The company has provided the growers with the spacious facilities for their produce to be classified and prepared for commercialisation following strict quality control. It covers over 65,000 m2, (26.800 for the Auction area; 4.648 or crates and boxes; and 6.004 for handling and packing). There is a direct connection to the Mediterranean Motorway, providing easy access for transporters and also to the area’s main production centres of La Cañada or El Alquián, as well as the Lower Andarax and the Campo de Níjar.

This project came into being with a very clear objective: To offer customers the best produce and the highest quality. To achieve this aim, the company built a complex equipped with state-of-the-art, environment-friendly technology, specifically designed to enhance the value of the produce handled within.

The machinery used in the production process complies with the most stringent European quality controls to ensure that the produce is treated with the exquisite care it deserves. Vegacañada also boasts the largest air-conditioned, fruit and vegetable pack house in Europe.

Our complex was purpose-built to handle all the types of fruit and vegetable produce we specialise in. Our star product being tomatoes; Raf, green, “Long life”, “Superflavour” and on the vine, among others. All these reach the consumer under the "Cañada Natural" quality brand name, the flavour and virtues of which are unique in Europe.

Vegacañada is a leader in the field of fruit and vegetable handling and that is due, in part, to the great financial effort made to achieve the highest possible levels of excellence. It is for this reason that the warehouses were equipped with the latest temperature control technology to ensure that not one iota of natural quality is lost from the produce stored there.
