Technical Department
The Technical-Agricultural Department of Vegacañada provides the grower with the human resources and the material necessary to obtain a product of maximum quality through the application of advanced techniques and the strictest controls in order to avoid the presence of residues.
The technicians of our department, each one a highly qualified and experienced agricultural expert, have as their main mission the task of making the different fruit and vegetable plantations profitable. To that end, they periodically collect samples and carry out exhaustive monitoring of the state of the plants, with the objective of obtaining a product of maximum quality.
The collected plant samples are later sent to laboratories in Cordoba and Seville, where they are checked to see if the product complies with the quality requirements demanded by prestigious bodies such as AENOR, giving decisive backing for complete production. They are also responsible for ensuring that the price reached at auction is appropriate according to the quality of the product.
The Technical-Agricultural Department is also responsible for organising periodic training courses for the growers in matters such as the application of pesticides in order to make it possible for them to obtain the mandatory licence needed to be able to work with them on the land. The offer of training from Vegacañada also includes initiatives such as information technology courses and other subjects. Furthermore, through this department the growers can obtain all the information and support necessary to access all types of public grants and subsidies and obtain the support and advice needed to arrange them.
